Claire’s School Solutions are currently recruiting for a teaching assistant to work part-time in a lovely school in the Matlock area. As this is a small village school, you will be supporting a mixed nursery/reception/year 1/year 2 class every morning. SEN experience is required. You will be expected to start as soon as possible and the role will be ongoing. This lovely school’s recent OFSTED quotes parents who said, ‘This is an amazing school in all it does for the children’.

As a Teaching Assistant you must have a positive mindset and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the students. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build rapport with students.

Skills:

* Excellent listening skills

* An ability to build strong, trusting relationships

* To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning

* To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies

* Able to adapt to different working environments

* Strong communication skills 

* Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic

You will have:

* SEN experience

* Previous experience working in a primary education environment.

* Have an understanding of safeguarding.

* A passion for working and supporting children’s learning.
