Claire’s School Solutions are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN teaching assistant to work in a school in the Chaddesden area. Starting as soon as possible and until Easter, you will be supporting pupils throughout KS1 with SEN, therefore SEN experience is required. This lovely school’s recent OFSTED report says parents ‘…typically praise the school’s caring, nurturing ethos’.

As a Teaching Assistant you must have a positive mindset and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the students. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build rapport with students.

Skills:

* Excellent listening skills

* An ability to build strong, trusting relationships

* To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning

* To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies

* Able to adapt to different working environments

* Strong communication skills 

* Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic

You will have:

*SEN experience.

* Previous experience working in a primary education environment.

* Have an understanding of safeguarding.

* A passion for working and supporting children’s learning.
