Claire’s School Solutions are recruiting for a full-time general teaching assistant to work in a school in the South West Derbyshire area. Starting in January 2024, you will supporting a year 1 class and the role will be ongoing. The school aims to provide a ‘safe, positive learning environment’, and they encourage all their children to develop to their own ‘full potential’.

As a Teaching Assistant you must have a positive mindset and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the students. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build rapport with students. 

Skills:

* Excellent listening skills

* An ability to build strong, trusting relationships

* To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning

* To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies

* Able to adapt to different working environments

* Strong communication skills 

* Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic

You will have:

* Previous experience working in a primary education environment.

* Have an understanding of safeguarding.

* A passion for working and supporting children’s learning.
