Claire’s School Solutions are urgently recruiting for a full-time experienced SEN teaching assistant to work in a school in the Littleover area. You will be working 1-1 with a pupil in year 3 with ASD, therefore SEN experience is required. This ongoing role, to start in January 2024, is to generally support and help the pupil. The school’s recent Ofsted report described the school as being a ‘supportive and caring environment’.

As a Teaching Assistant you must have a positive mindset and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the students. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build rapport with students. 

Skills:

* Excellent listening skills

* An ability to build strong, trusting relationships

* To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning

* To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies

* Able to adapt to different working environments

* Strong communication skills 

* Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic

You will have:

* Previous experience working in a primary education environment.

* SEN experience.

* Have an understanding of safeguarding.

* A passion for working and supporting children’s learning.
