Claire’s School Solutions are recruiting for a part-time teaching assistant to work 1-to-1 with a pupil in year 2 with moderate SEN needs. This role requires only mornings (Monday- Friday), 15 hours a week. This lovely school in the Ripley area has asked for the candidate to start as soon as possible and this role will be ongoing.

As a Teaching Assistant you must have a positive mind-set and have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the student. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also have good knowledge of the curriculum and will be able to build a solid relationship and rapport with the pupil.

You must have:

• Previous experience working in an primary education environment.
• Have an understanding of safeguarding.
• A passion for working and supporting children’s learning.
• Previous experience working with SEND children.

You must be able to:

• Use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies.
• Carefully assess, record, and report on the development, progress and attainment of the pupil.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children.

Important Skills:

• Excellent listening skills
• To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning
• Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships and collaborate with other professionals.
• Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic
• Be creative and energetic to make learning fun!
