Winter is now in full swing, the nights are getting darker and our eyes and noses are beginning to stream so here at Claire’s we have decided to embark on some random acts of kindness. A random act of kindness can be anything from paying somebody a compliment to putting that bit extra in a charity box. Even small gestures can make a big impact.
Our lovely Stephanie took this a step further by taking a big box of toys, teddies and books to the Puffin Ward at Derby Children’s Hospital. The Puffin ward treats children from 2 years of age right up to teenagers. Needless to say trying to keep children entertained during wait times is a hard enough plight and the children themselves need plenty of distractions, particularly when they are poorly. The ward is always looking for extra toys as sometimes toys can only be used once. They were incredibly grateful and we plan to do this again in the future.
