Claire’s School Solutions are recruiting for a part-time teacher in the Ilkeston area to work Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in year 1. This role is to start in January 2024 and is set to finish at the end of the summer term, so you will have 2 full terms of long-term work. This school has been said to have dedicated and caring staff and would be a lovely school to be part of.

As a supply teacher you will be expected to arrive in school at 8:15am and will be expected to adhere to school policies and follow the school’s behaviour strategies. You must also have a good knowledge of the curriculum and will be able to build solid relationships with the pupils. 

As a supply teacher, you will have: 

• A QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) 
• Previous experience working in a primary education environment. 
• An understanding of safeguarding. 
• A passion for working and supporting children’s learning. 

You should: 

• Be able to engage children in stimulating lessons. 
• Have a positive impact on pupil progress. 
• Use positive and effective behaviour management strategies. 
• Be willing to undertake the role of a class teacher. 
• Be committed to the development of all pupils. 
• Have previous experience working in an education environment. 
• Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues. 
• Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic. 
• Carefully assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils. 
• Be creative and energetic to make learning fun!

• To be resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning 
• Able to adapt to different working environments 
• Strong communication skills
