About the role
Claire’s School Solutions are currently recruiting for a Level 3 TA to work in a SEND unit in the Darley Dale area. This will be a full – time position. This will be working with a small group of pupils who experience emotional and social challenges and a range of SEN needs. This role is temporary but with the potential to be made permanent. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. The children will be KS3 but working at a lower academic level.
You must have
Experience working with children, specifically with SEND
Experience working in a primary education environment
Understand safeguarding
Have a passion for working and supporting children’s learning
Skills
Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
Be flexible
Excellent listening skills
Be able to adapt to different working environments as you will be working with multiple different schools
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
Be resilient
Take responsibility for children’s education
Maintain a positive attitude
Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils in the learning activities
To use positive and personalised behaviour management strategies
