Tomorrow will be Qurrat’s last day and we are so sad to see her go! She has been fantastic – very flexible and has fitted so well into our team. 

I just wanted to say how lovely it has been having Keela in for the time she’s covered this week, a few members of staff have been who have worked alongside her and commented how well she has got on, she’s used her own initiative (which often we find supply don’t as understand it’s hard when it’s so hands on in early years and not always someone there to guide with the needs we have within the nursery), got down and interacted with the children and has been a delight. She is definitely on our list for future supply.

We do have magnificent feedback regarding all 3 teachers we have with us right now, they are all super amazing, My little boy is in Charlottes class and after all the changes they have had in there this year she has truly settled the ship. With her professionalism along with the personal touch she brings and her knowledge and understanding she has been just amazing.

The thing that stands out the most for us with Jean besides being a lovely person who is very calm and professional is her ability to step into any classroom within school and immediately create a positive, purposeful learning environment. Her expertise  and subject knowledge are evident in every setting, and it never fails to impress both staff and pupils alike.

Charlotte has been to cover our school a few days since the start of the school year and we always get  positive feedback from the staff she works with. Our school started using Little Wondle this school year and it was a great help to the classroom she covered because she knew it well and that was a massive relief to the TA she was working with as the school was still getting to grips with it.

Can we say thank you to Steve, not only is he brilliant and handles the class really well, on Friday in the snow he was one of the first members of staff through the door!

It was lovely to see Ingrid as she covered a placement here last year and was brilliant, she knew exactly what to do with our year 2’s again when she covered here on Thursday.

Georgia has been to our school a few times now and her supply visits have always been so positive. Georgia just settles in and gets on with her cover, the children across all year groups really enjoying having her, as do the staff. Thank you Claire’s and Georgia for making supply cover such an easy process!

I just wanted to let you know that I’ve just been chatting with the Teaching Assistants who are working with Steve Burley today and they could not speak more highly of him. Apparently, the children are responding extremely well to him and the class have had a great day!

Denby Free is such a lovely little school. In the collective worship they had on Tuesday the kids were saying some incredibly adorable things about belonging and feeling loved. The school just has a really lovely feel to it.

Just a note to give you my feedback following my appointment last Friday at Marston Montgomery Primary School.

 I have enjoyed every minute of my day there, Headteacher was very welcoming, staff and students were friendly, lovely, and location was perfect for me. I even taught some Spanish to KS1 students.

Had a wonderful morning at Waingroves primary with the Y2 children at forest school exploring their lovely grounds. We made pinecone chicks and mud rabbits then enjoyed a hot chocolate in the shelter. The children are friendly and eagerly helped me learn their class routines!

I have been so lucky to work at Duffield Meadows over the last couple of months. It is a gorgeous school with the kindest and most supportive staff I’ve had the pleasure of working with, including Faye the headteacher. From the beginning, they’ve been so welcoming and helpful which made me settle in quickly. I’m going to miss it a lot. Thank you for everything.

I just wanted to say what an amazing half term I have just had.  Giving up a permanent post as a long serving teacher was not an easy decision to make but I can honestly say that I have no regrets.  All the schools I have been in (and there has been quite a few already) have been fab and I have thoroughly enjoyed doing what I love the most which is teaching children.  I want to say thank you to you all for being such a caring and dedicated team and for finding me so much work.  

I am really looking forward to this next half term and beyond.  You have restored my faith in the teaching profession. 

When I first came to you a year and a half ago, I really wasn’t sure what I was going to do as I couldn’t see a way for me to remain in education. Yet, now, I’m officially starting in a school where I can see myself thriving for years to come. Your friendly guidance and support, alongside sending me to lovely schools along the way, has helped me to rebuild my confidence and regain my passion for teaching! I am homestly not sure where I would be today without you! THANK YOU so much! I do/ will always recommend you as the BEST supply agency ever!

Well I’ve been a supply teacher for a few months now (there was a transitional period before leaving my old work where I was doing both) and I have to say I’m really enjoying it! I’m enjoying seeing lots of different ways of doing things, meeting new friendly faces, and getting to teach a lot of foundation subjects in addition to maths and English (which is very reassuring, having a child in the state school system). I’ve loved teaching French! We really do have some excellent local schools with absolutely wonderful students and staff! Being 10 minutes from home most days is a game changer too, I didn’t realise how much the sometimes 1 hour + each way commute was impacting on my mind until I no longer had to do it! I miss the staff and students at my old school but I’m glad I took this scary step into the unknown.
